Geri Grubbs, Ph.D., LICSW, a practitioner of depth psychology since 1987, is a psychotherapist, Jungian analyst and sandplay therapist. With a doctorate in marriage, family and child therapy, and a Washington license in clinical social work, she works with both adults and children. Geri is a 1998 graduate of the C. G. Jung Institute, Zurich, Switzerland, and is currently a training analyst on the board of the North Pacific Institute for Analytical Psychology (NPIAP)- aka, Jung Institute, in Seattle.
Geri's training and experience includes child and adult sexual abuse treatment, crisis intervention, and therapy for a variety of emotional problems, including depression, bereavement, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, marriage and family conflicts, life transitions, and spiritual awakening and deepening.
Geri maintains a private psychotherapy practice in Woodinville, Washington, and teaches workshops and seminars for mental health professionals and the public at various clinics, institutes and organizations, NPIAP, and in her private practice.
Her publications include “Bereavement Dreaming and the Individuating Soul,” a book on dreams had by those suffering from the death of a loved one, and “The Sandplay Categorical Checklist for Sandplay Analysis,” a research and training manual for sandplay and art therapists.
In addition to her training as a Jungian analyst, Geri has studied with Dora Kalff, founder of sandplay therapy. She is a certified member of the International Society for Sandplay Therapists (ISST) and Sandplay Therapists of America (STA).
Spirituality is an important aspect of Geri’s work, both personally and professionally. She is a devotee of Paramhansa Yogananda, and is certified as a meditation teacher.
